The Outer Giudicarie extend over the western part of the Trentino region and lay between the Brenta Dolomites and lake Garda. The plateau is divided into three different areas of Banale, Lomaso and Bleggio and at the bottom of the valley lies the internationally known thermal springs of Comano, Comano Terme an important and recognised health spa.
You can find unspoiled nature throughout the entire valley, thanks to the absence of any significant industrial sites, but also to the sustainable nature of the agriculture. The vineyards are planted in the finest positions. The soils are rare and precious, which guarantees the production of the best base wines.
Due to different preconditions in the remaining areas apples, cherries, small fruits, potatoes, vegetables and herbs are grown, as well as food for breeding animals. Many of those products are processed directly from the growing farms. The area, which is influenced by the alpine climate and the lake Garda, offers ideal conditions to grow high quality products.
The quality achieved through the production processes of LEVII is guaranteed by the D.O.C Trento certification. A production strictly conforming to the 'traditional method', which worldwide stands for quality, history and excellence.
The House of LEVII uses precisely this reference point to include new characteristics while relying on the strength of its key factors and the strengths of each staff member.
Thanks to their unique thermal springs, Comano is an internationally respected centre for the cure of skin diseases. Its story covers many centuries. The thermal springs had already been named in the Roman age and in medieval times they were widely famous.
Around 1400 a landslip buried the springs and every trace was covered. Around 1800 farmers rediscovered the springs and that their water healed the mange. Thereupon the excavations began, which brought out the ancient Roman baths. At this time the city council was in a poor financial situation and the whole fortune was released for auction, and it was acquired by the doctor Gian Battista Maffei. He decided to donate everything to the poor of the parish of Banale, Bleggio and Lomaso. Nowadays the thermal springs of Comano are still reputed to have healing and beneficial effects and a part of the income gets donated to humanitarian facilities.
